Our theme is something magical and enchanting - just like a fairy tale story.
Color Motif
We spent almost 5 months just thinking about our motif. We mixed and matched various colors in the palette, until we came up with 4-color combination.
Royal Purple is our Primary Color. It is a shade of purple bluer than the ancient Tyrian purple. In medieval Europe, blue dyes were rare and expensive, so only the wealthiest or the aristocracy could afford to wear them. Because of this, Europeans' idea of purple shifted towards this more bluish purple known as royal purple because of its similarity to the royal blue worn by the aristocracy. This was the shade of purple worn by kings in medieval Europe. Purple is royalty. A mysterious color, purple is associated with both nobility and spirituality.
Matte Gold will be our accent color and is a cousin to yellow (and orange and brown). While green may be the color of money (U.S. money, that is) gold is the color of riches and extravagance. The color gold shares many of the attributes of yellow. It is a warm color that can be both bright and cheerful as well as somber and traditional. Because gold is a precious metal, the color gold is associated with wealth and prosperity. While all that glitters is not gold the color gold still suggests grandeur, and perhaps on the downside, the excesses of the rich.
Secondary Colors
Lavender is a pale tint of violet. It applies particularly to the color of the flower of the same name. Lavender has long been a favorite flower and color of gentle ladies. This shade of purple suggests refinement along with grace, elegance, and something special
Carnation pink is a color that resembles the flower color of a carnation plant. It is a shade of pink. Pink is the color of universal love. Pink is a quiet color. Lovers of beauty favor pink. A pink carnation means "I will never forget you". Pink provides feelings of caring, tenderness, self-worth and love, acceptance. Put some pink in your life when you want calm feelings, to neutralize disorder, relaxation, acceptance and contentment.
